Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients by following proper hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Support medical procedures and treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
