Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and maintain electronic health records
- Perform vital sign measurements and administer injections per protocols
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Assist with lab specimen processing and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and inventory supplies
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and clinic safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including occasional weekends
