Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and coding
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- MA license in good standing with Massachusetts Board of Registration
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
