Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and administer medications
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule appointments and provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ohio BLS/CPR certification required
