Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical history.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws (phlebotomy), and EKGs.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle insurance verification.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or Phlebotomy certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical setting.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
