Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and prepare blood samples as directed.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Order and stock medical supplies and maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with computer systems and EMR software.
