Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, patient measurements, and basic EKGs.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Manage patient flow, including checking in patients and scheduling appointments.
- Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Provide patient education and answer questions regarding treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
