Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, including obtaining medical history and measuring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight).
  • Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits to ensure a sterile environment.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
  • Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Update and maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately and confidentially.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and laboratory testing.
  • Greet patients and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanor, managing front desk duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a medical field is a plus.
