Responsibilities
- Patient Care Coordination: Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Vital Signs & Admin: Accurately measure vital signs, update medical records, and manage patient intake and check-out processes.
- Lab Support: Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and prepare specimens for analysis under supervision.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and staff to ensure clarity and patient comfort.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines and hospital safety protocols at all times.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking exam rooms and medical supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Interpersonal: Excellent verbal communication skills with a patient-centric and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by the unit.
