Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Manage electronic health records and patient scheduling
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatments and preventive care
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Active Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
