Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and medical supplies
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient registration
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- New York State BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
- Valid NY driver's license and reliable transportation
