Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications/treatments according to physician orders.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and families during night hours.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Respond immediately to code blue situations and emergency alerts during shift.
- Manage shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care for incoming nursing staff.
- Adhere to all state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferred for night shift).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a high-volume environment.
