Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians with clinical procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, prepare specimens, and sterilize medical equipment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is highly preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety.
