Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Update and manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical confidentiality protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
