Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment preparations
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
