Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care across 15-bed ICU/Stepdown units during overnight hours
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform emergency interventions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Epic EHR systems
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Participate in rapid response activations and code blue procedures
- Mentor new nurses through our structured orientation program
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives for nocturnal care protocols
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN #)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (night shift preferred)
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EHR and Pyxis medication systems
