Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vital signs.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures as required.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during patient examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Instruct patients on medication usage and post-care instructions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records systems.
