Your Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height measurements accurately.
- Room patients efficiently, documenting patient history and chief complaints into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy (blood draws) and urine analysis.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, confirm appointments via phone, and handle patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid Kansas driver's license and reliable transportation (optional for some roles).
