Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and immunizations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Texas state license or eligibility to obtain
