Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with healthcare team
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliant)
- Valid MA state license
