Responsibilities
- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical services
- Submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on claim denials
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for billing operations
- Analyze aging reports and resolve payment discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Proficiency with medical billing software (Epic, NextGen)
