Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to commercial insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for maximum reimbursement
- Appeal denied claims with supporting documentation
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and AR follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve coding discrepancies
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong understanding of payer policies and fee schedules
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with precision
