Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within SLA timeframe
- Perform account receivable follow-up and collections activities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams on charge capture documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial/government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with denial root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
