Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and pre-authorizations
- Resolve claim denials through appeals and follow-up procedures
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Analyze aging reports and manage accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document coding accuracy
- Utilize EHR/EMR systems for billing documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement methodologies
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and billing software
