Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies within 24-hour turnaround
- Resolve claim denials through effective appeals and documentation
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Utilize Epic EHR system for real-time charge entry
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in Epic EHR and Clearinghouse platforms
- Strong knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid billing
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management preferred
