Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims using electronic systems
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through appeals and documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Analyze aging reports and manage accounts receivable workflows
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate charge capture
- Generate monthly reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with electronic claims submission (Availity, Change Healthcare)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
