Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers and follow up on denials
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Code medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Generate monthly reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CCS, or similar) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations
