Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials/rejections
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for accurate billing
- Post payments and adjustments in electronic health records (EHR)
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and coding standards
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare billing regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
