Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Resolve claim denials and rejections within 3 business days
- Conduct thorough audits of coding and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture completeness
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills for identifying billing discrepancies
- Exceptional communication for payer negotiations
- Ability to manage high-volume claim workflows
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent
