- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Stay updated on coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10) and compliance standards
- Analyze accounts receivable reports and identify collection opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CPC-A, or CCS) preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Medisoft, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance
