Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications as directed.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare and clean examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a safe and sanitized environment.
- Provide patient education and instructions on medications and treatments.
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and handling insurance paperwork.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar) preferred.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting, including knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
