Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to service rendering
- Resolve claim denials and patient billing inquiries through proactive communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and manage aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Utilize Epic EHR system for efficient claim processing
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in medical coding systems and claim submission software
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and payer requirements

- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
