Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile equipment and exam rooms
- Document patient information and test results in EHR systems
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff and physicians for specimen prioritization
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience in a medical setting
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Pass background check and drug screening
