Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with 98% accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct insurer communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly reports on denial rates and revenue cycle performance
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure complete documentation
- Update patient records with insurance and billing information
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient or specialty clinic
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills for identifying claim patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
