Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for ICU patients requiring ventilator support and hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications and perform complex assessments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Document electronic health records accurately and timely
- Maintain sterile techniques during procedures and wound care
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
- Precept new staff and orient travelers to unit protocols
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience in acute care setting
- BSN degree preferred (required for select facilities)
- Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Flexibility to adapt to new EMR systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
