Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for maximum reimbursement
- Appeal denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with clinical teams for accurate documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data security standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payer policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
