Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 98% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 15 business days
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Alaska state regulations
- Conduct regular account receivables analysis and aging reports
- Collaborate with providers and coding teams for documentation accuracy
- Utilize Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems daily
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expert knowledge of EOB analysis and denial resolution
- Strong data entry skills with 10,000+ KPH keystrokes
- Familiarity with Alaska Medicaid and tribal health programs
- Ability to prioritize high-volume workloads in fast-paced environment
