Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls using standardized triage protocols to determine medical urgency
- Provide telephone nursing guidance to patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for critical case coordination
- Document patient interactions accurately in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage patient flow across emergency, urgent care, and specialty departments
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN license (unrestricted)
- 3+ years of emergency or urgent care nursing experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications with TNCC preferred
- Proficient in EHR documentation (Epic experience a plus)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- BSN degree or higher required
