Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials/rejections within SLAs
- Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and coverage benefits
- Post payments and adjustments in EHR/PM systems daily
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and AR aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charges accurately
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency with Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim workflows and appeals
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with minimal errors
