Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies using advanced billing software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through systematic follow-up
- Maintain accurate patient financial records and documentation
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge accuracy
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for management review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with electronic claim submission and EDI
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
