- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Verify insurance coverage and resolve billing discrepancies
- Manage patient accounts and payment processing
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and healthcare facilities
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and electronic health records
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on unpaid claims
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance verification
- Certification (CPC, CPC-A, or CCS) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and claim submission processes
