Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials within SLAs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Generate monthly reports on revenue cycle performance
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services correctly
- Stay updated on CPT/ICD-10 coding changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim processing
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability for 20-30 hours/week (evenings/weekends available)
