Responsibilities
- Review and verify patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
- Submit clean claims to various payers (Medicare, Medi-Cal, Private Insurance) using our billing software.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and appeal denied claims to maximize revenue collection.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries.
- Manage the revenue cycle process from claim submission to payment posting.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Medical Billing Software (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic, Cerner).
- Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, including HMOs, PPOs, and Medicaid/Medicare.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible environment.
