- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies (Medicare, Medi-Cal, private payers)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Post payments and adjustments using EHR/EMR systems
- Follow up on denied claims and appeals with documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate monthly reports for revenue analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff for coding accuracy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Certification (CPC, COB, or similar) preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with Epic, EHR, or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
