Responsibilities
- Review and code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT systems
- Submit accurate insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Follow up on claim denials and appeals with insurance companies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Process patient billing statements and handle payment inquiries
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
