Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 30-day SLA
- Conduct regular audits of coding compliance (CPT/ICD-10)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charge capture
- Generate monthly AR aging reports for leadership review
- Train staff on billing policy updates and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician practice setting
- Certification in CPC, CMA, or CCS required
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems
- Proven reduction in claim denial rates (demonstrable metrics)
- Nevada state medical billing license in good standing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
