Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims using ICD-10/CPT coding standards
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patient services
- Resolve claim denials and manage accounts receivable follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services properly
- Analyze billing data to identify revenue optimization opportunities
- Utilize Epic EHR system for billing and coding operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/hospital settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Medisoft, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
