Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers and government programs
- Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and medical necessity
- Denial analysis and appeals management for rejected claims
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) and billing software (Medisoft)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports on key performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Certification (CPC, COC, or CCS) preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Experience with denial management and appeal processes
- Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
