Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise inventory management and stock rotation systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficient in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Clear background check and negative drug screening
