Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims to maximize reimbursement
- Review EOBs and patient statements for discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Utilize medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft) for claim processing
- Analyze aging reports and resolve outstanding account balances
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred

- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
